Many thanks for your support – we are delighted to have received support from colleagues in Spain on ourAntibiotic Action Petition. Your support as a signatory is encouraging but we would like more and we are being necessarily bold and ambitious.
It is Antibiotic Awareness Day in Europe on 18th November, and the Department of Health for England and Wales will soon release its new five-year Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy Plan. Both promote appropriate antimicrobial use – and we are very keen that the voice for antibiotic discovery is just as loud and taken just as seriously. Antibiotics are precious reserves – but we must work as hard to discover new antibiotics as we do to preserve those we have.
Goal for Spain – 200 signatories from Spain by the 18th November? Possible? We hope so – you know so!
Please give our petition a final push this week – tell family, friends, colleagues and children to sign their support here: http://antibiotic-action.com/join/ Please forward to as many individuals as possible.
You can view progress and look at how many signatures Spain has achieved here: http://antibiotic-action.com/petition-signatures/ Compare with other countries by selecting any country in the world from the filter on this page.
Thank you for listening again. Together we can make the difference needed.
